8 {x }^{2}  - 4 = 0 \\ 8 {x}^{2}  = 4 \\  {x}^{2}  =  \frac{4}{8}  \\  {x}^{2}  =  \frac{1}{2}  \\ x =   ±\frac{1}{ \sqrt{2} }  = ± \frac{ \sqrt{2} }{2}  \\ x =  \frac{ \sqrt{2} }{2} , \:   - \frac{ \sqrt{2} }{2}

Two zeroes of the given quadratic polynomial are

 \frac{ \sqrt{2} }{2}  \: and \:     - \frac{ \sqrt{2}  }{2}
