x² - 7 = 0

Write both terms in perfect square:

x² - (√7)² = 0

Apply a² - b² = (a + b)(a - b)

(x - √7) (x + √7) = 0

Apply zero product property:

x = √7 or -√7

x {}^{2}  - 7 \\( x ){}^{2} -  \sqrt{7}  \\ (x -  \sqrt{} 7)(x +  \sqrt{} 7) \\ x -  \sqrt{} 7 = 0 \\ x = \sqrt{}  7 \\ x +  \sqrt{7}  = 0 \\ x =  -   \sqrt{7}
