Answer:

p(x) = 3x²+5x-2

To Find: The product of it's zeroes.

Finding out zeroes :

Consider p(x) = 0

3x²+5x-2 = 0

3x²+6x-x-2 = 0

3x(x+2)-1(x+2) = 0

(x+2)(3x-1) = 0

Here x = ⅓ = α and x = -2 = β

Finding the sum of the zeroes :

αβ = ⅓ × -2 =

OR

We can directly find out the product of it's zeroes by using the relationship between the zeroes and the coefficients and constant of the polynomial :

Answer:

put x = 0

p(0)=3*0^2-0-4

0-0-4=4

put x=1

p(1)=3*1^2-1-4

3*1-1-4

3-1-4

-8

put x=-1

p(-1)=3*-1^2-(-1)-4

3*1+1-4

3+1-4

4-4=0

hence -1 is the zero ofp(x)
