Hello Friend.

Here is your answer below,

In your question last term will be positive that means (+1) if it will be not plus then it will not factories.

4s {}^{2}  - 4s  +  1 \\  =  > 4s {}^{2}  - 2s - 2s  +  1 \\  =  > 2s(2s - 1)   -  1(2s - 1) \\  =  > (2s - 1)(2s - 1) \\  =  > 2s - 1 = 0 \\  =  > 2s = 1 \\  =  > s =  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \\ same \: as \:  \\  \\ 2s - 1 = 0 \\  =  >2 s = 1 \\  =  > s =  \frac{1}{2}

I hope that helps you
