you just need to put the whole equation equal to zero and find value of the variable by solving it ...that will be your zeros .in linear equations,you will get 1 value of zero and in quadratic equations ,you will get 2 values of zeros.

for example ,I'm solving 3rd part for you

2x+5=0

x=-5/2

so -5/2 is the zero

I'm solving last part too for your convenience,

cx+d=0

x=-d/c

so -d/c is the zero.
