Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 + 2x + 1 = 0

=> x^2 + 1x + 1x + 1 = 0

=> x( x+1 ) + 1( x+1 ) = 0

=> ( x+1 ) ( x+1 ) = 0

therefore ;

x = -1 .....!!!!!!
