Given

 • A polynomial x²+2x-35

To find

zeroes of the polynomial

Solution

 • we have to spilt the middle term in such a way that the product come 35 and sum become 2

x²+2x-35

=>x²+7x-5x-35

=>X(X+7)-5(X+7)

=>(X+7) (X-5)

Now zeroes will be

X= 5,-7

The given polynomial is,

= > {x}^{2} + 2x - 35

= > {x}^{2} + 7x - 5x - 35

= > x(x + 7) - 5(x + 7)

 = > (x + 5)(x - 7)

Hence, x = 5 or -7.

Therefore, zeros of the polynomial are 5 and -7.
