To find zeroes of :-

p(x) =5x²+8x+3

putting p(x)=0

5x²+8x+3=0

Now , By using

Split middle term method

5x²+5x+3x+3=0

5x(x+1)+3(x+1)=0

(5x+3)(x+1)=0

  • If, 5x+3=0 then x = -3/5

  • If, x+1=0 then x = -1

Zeroes are :-

-3/5 & -1

5x^2+8x+3

5x^2+(3+5)x+3

5x^2+3x+5x+3

x(5x+3)+1(5x+3)

(5x+3)(x+1)

5x+3=0

x=-3/5

x+1=0

x=-1
