AnsWer :

√15 and, -√15.

Solution :

We have equation.

 \tt \:  {x}^{2}  - 15 = 0.

Compare with General Equation,

 \tt\dagger  \:  \: a {x}^{2}  + bx + c = 0.

Where as,

 \tt\:  \red{a \neq0.}

\rule{90}1

  • a = 1.
  • b = 0.
  • c = -15.

We have Quadratic Formula.

 \tt \dagger \:  \:  x =  \frac{ - b \pm \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}  \\

 \tt\mapsto x =  \frac{ 0 \pm \sqrt{ {0}^{2} - 4 \times 1 \times  - 15 } }{2}  \\

 \tt\mapsto x =   \frac{  \pm\sqrt{60} }{2}  \\

 \tt\mapsto x =  \frac{2 ( \pm\sqrt{15)} }{2}

 \tt\mapsto x =  \pm \sqrt{15} . \\

Therefore, the value of x be √15 and -√15.
