1

 {x}^{2} - 4

(x) ^{2} - (2) ^{2}

Using (a)^{2} - (b)^{2} = (a+b)(a-b)

 (x+2)(x-2)

Therefore, (x-2) and (x+2) are the zeroes of the polynomial x^2 -4
