Step-by-step explanation:

we have an quadratic equation

p(X)= 2x2 -5+3x

it's standard form is 2x2 +3x -5

first by mid term splitting

we get , 2x2 + 2x -5x -5

= 2x( X+1) -5 (X+1)

= (X+1)(2x-5)

X+1=0. ,. 2x-5 =0

X= -1 , X= 5/2

let X=1 be alpha and X= 5/2 be beta

verification,

as we know

 \alpha + \beta = - b \div a

-1 +5/2 = -(-3/2)

-2+5/2 = 3/2

3/2=3/2

now the product

 \alpha \times \beta = c \div a

-1 X 5/2 = -5/2

-5/2= -5/2

hence verified
