find the zeros of the quadratic polynomial is P of x is equal to x square minus 4 and find the sum of products of the zeros and verify relationship to the quotient of terms in the polynomial​

  • P(x) =x²-4
  • we have learnt that a²-b²=(a+b) (a-b)
  • so P(x) =(x) ²+(2)²
  • P(x) =(x+2)(x-2)
  • 0=(x+2)(x-2)
  • ±2=x

here a=1 ,b=0(since there is no x term..but there is x²term) and c=4

so alpha + beta=

 \frac{ - b}{a}

so alpha +beta =0/4=0

and alpha.beta=c/a

so alpha.beta=-4/1=-4

hence verified
