Solution:

Let p(x) =x²-√2x-12

To find zeroes of p(x), we must take p(x) = 0

=> x²-√2x-12=0

splitting the middle term, we

get

=> x²-3√2x+2√2x-12=0

=> x(x-3√2)+2√2(x-3√2)=0

=> (x-3√2)(x+2√2)=0

=> x-3√2 = 0 or x+2√2 = 0

=> x = 3√2 or x = -2√2

Therefore,

-2√2 , 3√2 are two zeroes of

p(x)
