yaa.. nd we also using a quad because the square is of 90 angles makes so divide by 4 by using the formula of quadrant

area of square=12^2+12^2=144 cm^2
area of sector=90/360 *314/100*6*6
=(28.26)* 4 sides
=113.04 cm^2
area of shaded region = 144-113.04
=30.96 cm^2
