Solution:

Distance from (-5,7) = 13

hence

(0-(-5))^2 + (k-7)^2=13^2

=> 25 + (k-7)^2 = 169

=> (k-7)^2 = 144

=> (k-7)^2 = 12^2

k - 7 = +12 or -12

hence k = -5 , 19

points on y axis (0,-5) and (0,19).
