Find three consecutive even integers such that their sum decreased by twice the
second integer is 54.

let the first even integer be x, so the other two are x+2 and x+4.

So, sum of the 3 is x+x+2+x+4=3x+6

and the sum decreased by twice the second integer gives 54 so,

3x+6-2(x+6)=54

x-2=54

x=56.

So the 3 integers are 56 58 and 60.
