x=76

First number=x=76
Second number =x+2=76+2=78

76,78,80 are three consecutive even numbers whose sum is 234

Let the three consecutive even numbers be x , x + 2 and x + 4.Then,

according to question ,

=> x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 234

=> 3x + 6 = 234

=> 3x = 234 - 6

=> 3x = 228

=> x = 228/3

=> x = 76

Hence ,

1st consecutive even number = 76

2nd consecutive even number = 76 + 1 = 77

3rd consecutive even number = 76 + 4 = 80.
