Let X, X+1 and X+2 be the three consecutive numbers,
Therefore,
X+(x +1) +(x + 2) =81
3X+3 =81
3X=81 -3
3 X = 78
X= 78 ÷3
X= 26
1st no= 26
2nd no = × +1 = 26 +1 = 27
3rd no = × + 2 = 26 +2 =28

ashmit6: true answer
LalsanbabuKaipeng: 26+27+28 =81 proof

Heya.

Let the first digit be y.
The second number will be y +1.
The third number = y+2.

It is given that their sum is 81.
So, y + (y+1) + (y+2) = 81
3 y + 3 = 81
3y = 78
y = 26.

Hence,, y = 26
next digit = 27
Third digit = 28.

Let us verify,
26 + 27 + 28 = 81.

Hence, above answer is correct....

Hope it helps ..
