Hey mate,

here is your answer with explanation -

Answer - 28,30 and 32

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Explanation -

Let the numbers be x ,x+2 and x+4

According to the question

x+x+2+x+4=90

3x+6=90

3x=84

x=28

x+2=28+2=30

x+4=28+4=32

Therefore, the three consecutive positive even integers are 28,30 and 32.

Hopefully it helps,

Thanks

ANSWER :-

  • 28 , 30 and 32 are the three positive even consecutive integers whose sum is 90.

GIVEN :-

  • There are 3 consecutive positive even integers whose sum is 90.

TO FIND :-

  • The 3 consecutive positive even integers.

SOLUTION :-

Even integers are divisible by 2.

So , let the three positive consecutive even integers be 2x , 2x + 2 , 2x + 4 .

We know that , sum of these integers is 90.

→ (2x) + (2x + 2) + (2x + 4) = 90

→ 2x + 2x + 2 + 2x + 4 = 90

→ 6x + 6 = 90

→ 6x = 90 - 6

→ 6x = 84

→ x = 84/6

x = 14

So, Numbers are :-

  • 2x = 2(14) = 28
  • 2x + 2 = 2(14) + 2 = 30
  • 2x + 4 = 2(14) + 4 = 32

Hence , the three consecutive positive even integers are 28 , 30 , 32.

VERIFICATION :-

Sum of these integers should be 90.

28 + 30 + 32 = 90

90 = 90 (verified)
