Solution

let a - d , a , a + d are three terms of an APaccording to the problem given,sum of the terms = 15a - d + a + a + d = 153a = 15a = 15 / 3 a = 5product = 80( a - d ) a ( a + d ) = 80( a^2 - d^2 ) a = 80

) a = 80( 5^2 - d^2 ) 5 = 80

) 5 = 8025 - d^2 = 80 /5

= 80 /525 - d^2 = 16

= 16- d^2 = - 9

= - 9d^2 = 3^2

d = ± 3

d = ± 3Therefore,a = 5 , d = ±3required 3 terms area - d = 5 - 3 = 2a = 5a+ d = 5 + 3 = 8( 2 , 5 , 8 ) or ( 8 , 5 , 2 )
