Answer:

-1/12 , 0 , 1/12

( we can choose others rational numbers other than these three )

Note:

★ Between two rational numbers , there exist infinitely many rational and irrational numbers .

★ Between two irrational numbers , there exist infinitely many rational and irrational numbers .

Solution:

Here,

We need to find three rational numbers between -2/3 and 1/4 by LCM method .

★ Firstly , calculate the LCM of the denominators of the given rational numbers .

Here ,

Denominators of -2/3 and 1/4 are 3 and 4 respectively .

Thus,

LCM(3,4) = 3×4 = 12

★ Write a equivalent rational number for both the given rational numbers whose denominator is equal to the obtained LCM .

Thus,

-2/3 = (-2×4)/(3×4) = -8/12

and

1/4 = (1×3)/(4×3) = 3/12

★ Now , choose the rational numbers between -8/12 and 3/12 of your choice .

Thus,

Rational numbers between -8/12 and 3/12 ( ie ; between -2/3 and 1/4) are ;

-7/12 , -6/12 , -5/12 , -4/12 , -3/12 , -2/12 , -1/12 , 0 , 1/12 , 2/12
