Hi friend, Harish here.

Here is your answer:

i) First we should make the denominators equal.

So, LCM Of denominators = LCM (2,4) = 4.

So,
 \frac{1}{2} =  \frac{1\times 2}{2\times 2} =  \frac{2}{4}

 \frac{1}{4}= \frac{1}{4}

Now we must  three rational numbers between them.

So, We must multiply and divide both the numbers by 4.

Then,

→  \frac{2}{4} \times  \frac{4}{4}=  \frac{8}{16}

→  \frac{1}{4}\times  \frac{4}{4}=  \frac{4}{16}

So, three rational numbers between them are:

 \frac{7}{16} , \frac{6}{16} , \frac{5}{16}
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

ii) Here. The two numbers given are:

\frac{1}{6} \ and \  \frac{5}{6}

Three rational numbers between them are:

\frac{2}{6} , \frac{3}{6} , \frac{4}{6}
