Let r = 5 & s = -2

Formula = r + s / 2

r1 = 5 + (-2) / 2

= 3/2 ,

r2 = 3/2 + (-2)/1 / 2

= 3 - 4 / 2

= -1/2 ,

r3 = (-1/2) + (-2)/1 / 2

= -1 - 4 / 2

= -5/2 .
