Given :

  • 1st rational number = 7/2
  • 2nd rational number = 22/5

To Find :

  • Three rational number between the given rational number.

Solution :

First we convert given rational numbers to rational number with the same denominator equal to the LCM (Lowest Common Factor) of their denominator. The LCM of denominator 6 and 9 is :

2 | 2 , 5

5 | 1 , 5

| 1 , 1

⛬ LCM of 2 and 5 = 2 × 5 = 10

⠀⟶⠀7/2 = 7 × 5/2 × 5 = 35/10

⠀⟶⠀22/5 = 22 × 2/5 × 2 = 44/10

Between 35 and 44 there are eight integers 36 , 37 , 38 , 39 , 40 , 41 , 42 , 43

⛬ Three Rational numbers between 7/2 and 22/5 are 36/10 , 37/10 and 38/10
