Multiply both the fraction by 10

\frac{1\times 10}{4\times10} =\frac{10}{40} \\\\\frac{3\times10}{4\times10} =\frac{30}{40}

The three rational between  \frac{1}{4} \ \ and \ \ \frac{3}{4}  are :-

\frac{11}{40},\frac{13}{40},\frac{20}{40}

You can write any three between \frac{10}{40}\ and\ \frac{30}{40}

⭑Note⭑

  • Rational number are the numbers which can be written was p/q form where numerator p and a non-zero denominator q.
  • To find rational between any number,first we have to make sure that the denominators are same,if not then we must take the LCM
  • Both the denominator were same in this question but we can not find three rational number between 1/4 and 3/4,you can  see only one rational number which is 2/4,that’s why we have multiplied it by 10.
  • There are infinite rational number between any two fraction from that we have taken three rational number(as per the question)

Hope it helps :)
