Given:

  • There is one rational number -2/5.
  • There is another Rational Number -1/5 .

To Find:

  • Three Rational Number between them.

Concept Used:

  • We will convert it into an equivalent fractions by multiplying by a number one more than the number of rational numbers we are required to find .

Answer:

We are here given two rational numbers between which we have to find 3 rational numbers.

Here we have to find three Rational Numbers so we will multiply numerator and denominator by 4.

Now taking first number ,

=\sf{\dfrac{-2}{5}=\dfrac{(-2)\times 4}{5\times4}=\dfrac{-8}{20}}

And ,taking the second number ,

=\sf{\dfrac{-1}{5}=\dfrac{(-1)\times 4}{5\times4}=\dfrac{-4}{20}}

Now we have got two rational numbers between which we can easily find three other rational numbers .

Hence 3 rational numbers are \sf{\dfrac{-5}{20},\dfrac{-6}{20}\:and\:\dfrac{-7}{20}}

Note:

  • There are infinite (∞) rational numbers between two Rational numbers
