Given:

✰ Length of cuboid = 12cm

✰ Breadth of cuboid = 14cm

✰ Height of cuboid = 20cm

To Find:

✠ Total surface area of cuboid.

Solution:

Here in this problem, we will simply use the formula of total surface area of cuboid. Putting the values in the formula and then doing the required calculations. One must be careful while doing calculations in such type of questions.

Total surface area = 2( lb + bh + hl )

Here,

  • l is the length of a cuboidal hall.
  • b is the breadth of a cuboidal hall.
  • h is the height of a cuboidal hall.

➛TSA = 2(lb + bh + hl)

➛TSA = 2(12 × 14 + 14 × 20 + 12 × 20)

➛TSA = 2(168 + 280 + 240)

➛TSA = 2(168 + 520)

➛TSA = 2 × 688

➛TSA = 1376 cm²

∴ Total surface area of cuboid is 1376 cm².

More Formulae:

  • Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height
  • Lateral surface area of cuboid = 2( l + b ) × h
  • Length of diagonal of cuboid = √(l² + b² + h²)
