Let x , x + 2 are two even integers .

Sum of the numbers = 56 ( given )

=> x + x + 2 = 56

=> 2x = 56 - 2

=> 2x = 54

=> x = 54/2

=> x = 27

Therefore ,

Required two consecutive integers are

x = 27 ,

x + 2 = 27 + 2 = 29
