Find two consecutive even no. such that the smaller no. is 8/9 times the larger no.

numbers = x and x +2

x = (x+2) x 8/9

x = 8x/9  + 16/9

(9x - 8x)/9 = 16/9

x = 16

x + 2 = 16 + 2 =18

consecutive numbers = 16 and 18
