The consecutive even numbers are 8 and 10

Step by Step Explanation:

Let the even no. be x

Then the next even no. will be x+2

X+2 > x

Condition is

⇒4(x+2)/5=x

⇒(4x+8)/5=x

⇒4x+8=5x

⇒5x-4x=8

x=8

∴The next even no= ( 8+2)=10

The consecutive even numbers are 8 and 10
