Let the two consecutive odd whole numbers be x and x + 2.
Given that Whose sum is 2 less than 6 times the first number.
= > x + x + 2 = 6x - 2
= > 2x + 2 = 6x - 2
= > 2x + 4 = 6x
= > 4x = 4
= > x = 1.
Then,
= > x + 2
= > 3.
Therefore the two consecutive numbers are 1 and 3.
Hope this helps!
