Let,
1st number = x
2nd number = x + 1 ( consecutive numbers)
Thus,
x + x + 1 = 63
2x + 1 = 63
2x = 63 - 1
2x = 62
x = 62 ÷ 2
x = 31
Therefor the numbers are:
x = 31
x + 1 = 31 + 1 = 32
= 31 and 32
1st number = x
2nd number = x + 1 ( consecutive numbers)
Thus,
x + x + 1 = 63
2x + 1 = 63
2x = 63 - 1
2x = 62
x = 62 ÷ 2
x = 31
Therefor the numbers are:
x = 31
x + 1 = 31 + 1 = 32
= 31 and 32
