let the two numbers be x and x+2

according to the question- x + x + 2 = 76

x + x = 76 - 2

2x = 74

x = 74/2

x = 37

and x + 2 = 37 + 2 = 39

therefore the two consecutive odd integers whose sum is 76 = 37 and 39
