Given : -

  • Sum of two consecutive positive odd integers = 90

To find : -

  • Two consecutive Integers

Solution

★Let the two odd consecutive positive integer be x and (x + 2).

According to the question

→ x + (x + 2) = 90

→ x + x + 2 = 90

→ 2x = 90 - 2

→ 2x = 88

→ x = 88/2 = 44

Hence,

  • Consecutive odd positive integer
  • First number = x = 44
  • Second number = (x + 2) = 46

Step-by-step explanation:

✴️Answer✴️

Let the required two consecutive positive odd integers be x and (x + 2)

Then, x + (x+2) = 90

x + x + 2 = 90

2x + 2 = 90

Transposing 2 to LHS and it becomes – 2

2x = 90 -2

2x = 88

Multiplying both side by (1/2)

2x × (1/2) = 90 × (1/2)

x = 44

The other number is (x + 2) = 44 + 2 = 46

∴ The required two consecutive natural numbers are 44 and 46
