Find two decimal fractions whose sum is 1 and the difference is 0.5

let the two no be, x and y
then,
x+y = 1.........(1)
x-y = 0.5.......(2)
from 1
x = 1-y ....... putting in 2
1-y-y = 0.5
1-2y = 0.5
2y = 1-0.5
y = 0.5 ÷ 2
y = 0.25
x = 1-y
x = 1- 0.25
x = 0.75

Bigger no=1.5 divide 2 =0.75
