Adding eq (1)(2)

x+y=2

x-y=8

-----------

2x=10

x=10/2

x=5

Putting the value of x in eq (1)

x+y=2

5+y=2

y=2-5

y=-3

x + y =2

x -y =8

+y and - y get canceled

That gives

2x=10

x =5

Now

5+y=2

So y is -3

The two in te gers are 5 and-3
