Assume
Number be x and y respectively
So,
x + y = -12 ....... (1)
x - y = 1 ........... (2)
x + y + (x - y) = -12 + 1
x + y + x - y = -12 + 1
2x = -12 + 1
2x = -11
Hence,
x + y = -12
(-11/2) + y = -12
y = -12 + (11/2)
y = -13/2
