According to given information,

x + y = 75 (1)

x - y = 15 (2)

By solving substitution method ,

x = 75 - y (3)

put value eq 3 in 2

(75 - y) - y = 15

75 -2y = 15

75 - 15= 2y
2y = 60

y = 30

put the valueof in equation 3

x = 75 - 30

x = 45
So that the number is 30 and 45

x+y=75--------------------------(1)

the difference of two numbers is 15
x-y=15----------------------------(2)

subtracting 1 from 2
x+y=75
x-y=15
------------

2x=90
x=45

when x =45 then substituting in eq( 1)
x+y==75
45+y=75
y=75-45
y=30

the two numbers are 45 and 30
