3x+2y = 12

Put x as 0.
3*0 + 2y = 12
2y = 12
y = 12/2 = 6                                     First point : (0,6)

Put y as 0.
3x + 2*0 = 12
3x = 12
x = 12/3 = 4                                   Second point : (4,0)

So the 2 point are (0,6) and (4,0).

Hope this helpz :)

Given:

3 x + 2 y = 12

To find:

Points lying on the equation.

Solution:

To find the points lying on the equation,

Put x = 0,

Equate,

0 + 2 y = 12

y = 12 / 2

y = 6

( 0, 6 )

Now put y = 0,

Equate,

3 x + 0 = 12

x = 12 / 3

x = 4

( 4, 0 )

Hence, the points are ( 0, 6 ) and ( 4, 0 ).
