Find two postive numbers in theratio of 2:5 such that their difference is 15

Heya friend,

Let the numbers be 5x and 2x. Then,

according to question,

5x - 2x = 15

=> 3x = 15

=> x = 15/3

=> x = 5

Hence, the first positive number = 5×5 = 25

second positive number = 2×5 = 10.

Let the number be 2x and 5x.

= 5x-2x = 15
= 3x = 15
= x = 15/3
= x = 5.

First number = 2x = 2×5 = 10.
Second number = 5x = 5×5 = 25.
