7*2/12*2 = 14/24

There are two methods to find the any 2 rational number between $\frac{3}{8}$ and $\frac{7}{12}$

one among the method is : ( a + b ) / 2 

by using the above method : 

For first number = 
$(\frac{3}{8} + \frac{7}{12} ) / 2$ 
by doing the LCM for 8 and 12 and then the cancelling process we will get the first number are : 
$\frac{23}{48}$ 

For second number = 
$(\frac{3}{8} + \frac{23}{48} ) / 2$ 
by doing the LCM for 8 and 48, and then the cancelling process we will get the first number are : 
$\frac{41}{96}$ 

∴ the two rational numbers between the given number are : $\frac{23}{48}$  and $\frac{41}{96}$
