Solution:

Rational numbers between -3 and 2:

First number:

→ -3 + 2/2

→ -1/2

Second number:

→ -1/2 + 2/2

→ -1 + 4/2/2

→ 3/2/2

→ 3/2 × 2 = 3/4

Rational numbers between -3 and -2:

First number:

→ -3 + (-2)/2 = -3 -2/2

→ -5/2 = 2.5

Second number:

→ -2.5 - 2

→ -4.5/2

→ -2.25

Rational numbers :

Rational Menasha ratio , we know ratio in mathematics, i.e (5:2) and thus also can be written in fractional (5/2) and always these numbers "5" and "2" are natural numbers. Do you know what is a natural number? a number which is commonly used, which are 0,1,2,3,4,5 6 7 9,etc.... all are called "natural numbers". In rational number first we have to know the basics that is reducing the numbers to the standard form.

Example: Question :-

Reduce -45/30 to the standard form.

Solution:

→ -45/30 = - 45 ÷ 3/30 ÷ 3 = - 15/10 = - 15 ÷ 5 / 10 ÷ 5 = - 3/2

1) First let's divide twice.

2) First time by 3 and the by 5.

→ -45/30 = -45 ÷ 15/30 ÷ 15 = -3/2

15 is the HCF of 45 and 30.

Basics topics of Rational numbers:

1) Reducing numbers into standard form.

2) Compasison of rational numbers.

3) Rational numbers between two rational numbers.

4) Operations of rational numbers.

5) Rational numbers on a number line.

6) Positive and Negative rational numbers.

7) Equivalent rational numbers, etc......
