3u+ 2v =29.......(1)

2u-v=18

u=18+v/2........(2)

By substitution method -

substituting the value of u from eqn 2 to 1, we get-

3(18+v)/2+2v=29

(54+3v)/2+2v=29

(54+3v+4v)/2=29

54+7v=29×2

7v=38-54

7v=16

v=16/7

now putting the value of v in eqn 1, find the value of u.
