alpha = a+b

beta = a-b

alpha + beta = a+b+a-b

= 2a

alpha * beta = (a + b)(a - b)

= a(a - b)+ b(a - b)

=a square -ab+ ab -b square

= a square - b square

quadratic polynomial = x square -(alpha + beta)x+(alpha* beta)

= x square - (2a)x + (a square * b square)

= x square - 2ax + (a square + b square)
