√3x² + 10x - 8√3 = 0
compare above quadratic equation with
ax² + bx + c = 0 we get,
a = √3 , b = 10 , c = -8√3
discreaminant ( D ) = b² - 4ac
D = ( 10 )² - 4 × √3 × ( -8√3 )
D = 100 + 96
D = 196
√D = ± √196
√D = ± 14
Sridharacharya formula :
x = [ - b ± √D ] / 2a
= [ - 10 ± 14 ]/( 2 × √3 )
= ( -10 ± 14 )/2√3
Therefore ,
x = ( -10 + 14 )/2√3 or x =( -10 - 14 )/2√3
x = 4/2√3 or x = -24/2√3
x = 2/√3 or x = -12/√3
