Step-by-step explanation:

4x+3y=18.....I

3x-2y=5......II

Multiplying eq.I by 2 and eq.II by 3

:.8x+6y=36.....III

:.9x-6y=15.......IV

Adding eq.III and eq.IV

8x+6y=36

+ 9x-6y=15

___________

17x =51

:.x =51/17

:.x =3

Substituting x=3 in eq.I

4x+3y=18

4(3)+3y=18

12+3y=18

3y=18-12

3y=6

y=6/3

y=2

:.the solution is (x,y)=(3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

4x+3y=18......(1)

3x-2y=5.........(2)

now multiply eq (1) by 3 & eq(2) by 4,

12x+9y=54....(3)

12x-8y=20......(4)

subtracting eq (3)&(4)

17y=34

y=2

now substituting,y=2 in eq (1)

4x+3(2)=18

4x+6=18

4x=18-6

4x=12

X=3
