find value of k for the following pair of linear equation 2 X + k y is equals to 1,,,
3 x minus 5 Y is equals to 7 has no solution​

for no solution condition is a1/ a2 equal to b1 /b2 not equal to c1/c2 and you can find answer accordingly

therefore 2/3 =k/(-5) which implies k = -10/3

also k/(-5 )must not equal to 1/7

and 10/-15 not equal to 1/7

We have

2x +ky=1..... .. (1)

And 3x-5y=7......(2)

These are in form of general equation

Hence. A1=2,B1=K,C1=-1

AND A2=3,B2=-5,C2=-7

Hence ratio of them are equal

A1/A2=B1/B2

Now

- 5×2=3×k

Then,

K=-10/3

That's your answer
