find value of k for which the pair of linear 5x+2y = k and 10 x + 4y = 3​

Answer:

5x + 2y = k

10x + 4y = 3

using elimination method

5x + 2y = k

2(5x + 2y) = 3

5x + 2y = k

5x + 2y = 3/2

k = 3/2

Answer

for infinite number of solutions,  

a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2  

Here :-

a1 = 5

a2 = 10

b1 =2

b2=4

c1= -k

c2= -3

k = 3/2
