For equal roots, Discriminant = 0 = b² - 4ac
a = 4
b = p
c = 3
Discriminant = 0
=> ( p )² - 4( 4 × 3 ) = 0
=> p² - 48 = 0
=> p = ±√48
a = 4
b = p
c = 3
Discriminant = 0
=> ( p )² - 4( 4 × 3 ) = 0
=> p² - 48 = 0
=> p = ±√48

⭐hey there!!
➡Given eqn: 4x²+px + 3 = 0
➡ For roots to be equal D = 0
==> D = b² - 4ac = p² -4×4×3
=> D = p²- 48 ---------(1)
➡Now put D = 0
=> p²- 48 = 0
=> p² = 48
=> p = +_ √48
=> p = +4√3, - 4√3
