Given that mean of the distribution is 6.
We know that Mean = sum of all observations/Total number of observations
6 = 2 + 4 + 6 + 10 + (p + 5)/5
30 = 2 + 4 + 6 + 10 + p + 5
30 = 27 + P
30 - 27 = P
P = 3.
Therefore the value of P = 3.
